Dua for Children
Complete Islamic Supplications for Your Child’s Wellbeing
Authentic duas from the Quran & Sunnah — covering protection, health, knowledge, and righteous upbringing — with Arabic text, transliteration, and full translation.
Every Muslim parent carries a profound responsibility: raising children who are righteous, healthy, knowledgeable, and close to Allah ﷻ. One of the most powerful tools given to us is dua (supplication) — a direct conversation with our Creator.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ consistently made dua for children — for his own family, for his Companions’ children, and for all believers. The Quran itself is filled with the heartfelt supplications of great Prophets who prayed for righteous offspring. This page collects those authentic duas, organised by purpose, so you can make them part of your daily life.
Whether you are expecting a child, raising a toddler, or guiding a teenager, these supplications form a spiritual shield and a source of divine barakah (blessing) for your family.
Why Dua for Children Matters in Islam
Supplication for one’s children is a Prophetic tradition rooted deep in the Quran and Sunnah.
Quranic Foundation
Prophets Ibrahim, Zakariyyah, and Sulaiman (AS) all made specific duas for righteous children — recorded forever in the Quran.
Spiritual Protection
Dua creates an invisible shield around your child against the evil eye, harm, and the whispers of Shaytan.
Parental Obligation
Islam teaches that a parent’s dua for their child is among the three supplications that are never rejected (Tirmidhi).
Ongoing Sadaqah
Raising a righteous child who makes dua for you after your death is one of the greatest forms of continuous charity.
Early Habit Building
Teaching children to make dua plants seeds of tawakkul and gratitude that grow into a lifelong connection with Allah.
Accepted Prayer
The Prophet ﷺ said the dua of a parent for their child is answered without doubt — a mercy from Allah ﷻ to every parent.
ثَلاَثُ دَعَوَاتٍ مُسْتَجَابَاتٌ لاَ شَكَّ فِيهِنَّ دَعْوَةُ الْوَالِدِ لِوَلَدِهِ
“Three duas are accepted without doubt: the dua of a parent for their child, the dua of the oppressed, and the dua of the traveller.”— Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith 3862 | Graded Hasan

These Quranic supplications were made by the Prophets themselves — the most powerful prayers a parent can make.

Certain moments in the day carry extra divine receptivity — maximise your supplications by timing them well.

🕌 Between Adhan & Iqamah
The window between the call to prayer and its start is a time of special acceptance — make a sincere dua for your child during every prayer’s adhan. (Abu Dawud)

Blow gently on your child and recite the protection duas — start their day wrapped in divine barakah and shielded from harm.

The Prophet ﷺ taught us the conditions that increase the likelihood of our supplications being answered.
“When a person dies, all his deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, knowledge that benefits others, and a righteous child who prays for him.”— Sahih Muslim, Hadith 1631
